THE NOVEL
In a world broken by war, retired Sergeant Major Marcus Reeves finds himself pushed into a future he never wanted. By 2070, two years after World War III killed more than thirty percent of humanity, androids live beside humans, damaged bodies can be rebuilt, and technologies once imagined for the distant future have become part of everyday life.
After twenty-eight years in the Army, Reeves wants nothing more than to be left alone, and a quiet job at High Plains seems like the perfect place to disappear. But High Plains is hiding secrets tied to a future no one expected to face for decades, and the people guarding them may not have the time they thought they did.
Tomorrow is never promised.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Charles Rising spent nearly twenty-five years in the U.S. Army, including most of his career in Special Forces, before retiring as a Sergeant Major.
Tomorrow’s Sky is his first novel, shaped by years spent around people operating under pressure, making impossible decisions, adapting to loss, and continuing forward when there was no easy path left.
At its heart, Tomorrow’s Sky is not a story about technology or war. It is about people. What they carry with them, what they leave behind, and how far they are willing to go when the future asks something more of them.
Charles lives in Florida with his family and is currently working on the next story.
